John Piekarz - Director of Instruction, JP Golf Academy

The basics are the same, but each student is different. I believe the road to consistent golf is getting the club on plane. I coach my student by helping them develop a better swing plane through proper understanding of the grip, aim, alignment, & setup. All golfers are different and I will help lead you to the path of better scores by finding the most efficient type of swing for you.

Chris Miyahara

I feel as teaching golf varies by the person, both physically and how that person understands different methods of teaching.  I feel as though it is up to me to initiate different ways to make the student, depending of physical limitations, feel are the correct changes to help their game improve.  My motto is keep it simple and the less swing thoughts the better.  I feel as I learned how to teach from one of the best unknown teachers in Southern California who works with tour players and amateurs alike.  I have experience teaching mini tour players as well as beginners and everywhere in between.

In 1997, I decided to stop playing and concentrate on teaching.  I started to teach in New Jersey at a little driving range in Old Bridge, Legends Golf Center.  I stayed there for 7 years before I moved to Glenwood CC for 4 years.  I’ve been here at Metuchen Golf & CC for the past 2 seasons.
